According to an article from apartmentlist.com, Buffalo is ranked pretty low on a list of best to worst cities for dating.
Taking the spot of 82 out of 86, singles in Buffalo might not have a great chance at finding love this Valentine’s day. And Syracuse sits right below Buffalo, claiming the 83rd place. At least we didn’t take last place, which is occupied by Birmingham, Alabama.
I know this is not exactly the news you wanted to hear this Valentine’s day, but luckily, there are some singles events happening this Cupid’s day for you to enjoy and possibly meet the love of your life at!

500 Pearl is hosting a celebration of being single on February 14th. Whether you come with friends or come alone, you must wear black and be ready to party! There will be complementary snacks and chocolates, and there will even be a tarot card reading to find out if love is in your future.

Come to The Nerd Terminal in Cheektowaga this Valentine’s day for your chance to meet someone and show off your incredible singing skills! The mingle will start at 6PM and go until 9PM.
- Speed Dating
In case you don’t get so lucky on Valentine’s day, come out to Big Ditch Brewing Company between 2PM and 5PM on Sunday, February 16th and give speed dating a try! Tickets are available on the event’s page on Eventbrite.com.
